It’s often the revenue figures that grab the attention after major e-commerce events, but sometimes it’s worth noticing the hidden heroes.
A hidden hero
In this case, we’re shining the spotlight on Bizzkit Ecommerce Search, which helps our customers’ customers always find the products they’re looking for. Ecommerce Search has been busy. From Thursday, November 27 to Cyber Monday, December 1, Ecommerce Search handled over 100 million search queries. That’s more than 230 searches per second, around the clock for five days.
Lightning Speed
Being busy doesn’t mean, you can’t be fast. The average response time was 40ms, even though the search load was, to put it mildly, massive. That’s even 5ms faster than last year’s average response time. We’ve been fine-tuning and polishing since then - and we’ll keep doing it.
These numbers highlight the importance of having systems you can rely on. Once again, this year, some e-retailers lost revenue due to sluggish systems, queues, and response times.
